Following its journey from the forest to the heart of the Christmas ritual, Victor Kossakovsky reveals the paradox of a tradition that celebrates life while being built upon the death of trees. With irony, wonder and a growing sense of ecological urgency, the film delves into the plant world, inviting us to discover the intelligence and resilience of extraordinary beings that we rarely recognise as such.
